We all agreed before going to bed last
night, that the first order of business today would be cleaning the
truck. We could not get in or out without getting dirty – really
dirty. We were using paper towels just to get in or out our last few
stops for driver changes. This morning, after some sleep, it really was
funny. None of us had ever seen that much mud on a vehicle. We were
guessing how many pounds it must have been. Then when we caught
neighbors taking pictures – it was really hilarious. Fortunately
our RV park had a RV/truck wash that we could use. - unlimited –
included in our site fee – which was very helpful. We spent most
of the morning cleaning it up inside and out.
Then it was cleaning Fred and washing clothes. Later in the day we went back to the Santa Claus House to talk to Santa and pick up a few souvenirs. Then we made the Walmart and Fred Meyer runs to restock the pantry and then out to dinner on our way home. A Chinese restaurant came with high recommendations from more than one source so we stopped at the Pagoda, in North Pole, for dinner. It was very good and wow at the amount of food they serve for a very reasonable cost. We will be having another dinner of leftovers later in the week. If you like Chinese food and are in the North Pole area – we add our recommendation.

Tomorrow we will be traveling to Denali
National Park. It is not a long drive from Fairbanks but we have
been told of many construction delays along our route. One person
told us they had over 1.5 hour in delays. We are hoping for the
best, but not on a tight schedule so will just see what happens. We
are really looking forward to exploring Denali and really hoping to
see the mountain again. We will let you know tomorrow how it goes.
Thanks for following our travels.
