April 18, 2014
This morning wasn't as cool as the past few but it was
cloudy and 30% chance of rain. We had
breakfast outside on our picnic table.
What a nice way to start the day with a quiet breakfast outside at our
wonderful site. This park has the “it”
factor as for as we are concerned. We
haven't shown you our site yet, but we did take a few pics of the site – the
best in the campground in our opinion.
It had open area on the living side and easy access to the hiking trails.
Perfect site - $18
We then spent some time doing some computer work and changing some
passwords due to the recent security treats before getting ourselves and the
rig ready for travel. Since there is no
sewer at the sites at Tishomingo we also had to go by the dump station on the
way out. Of course, that is when the 30% rain arrived. We departed about 1:00 pm
knowing we were not going too many miles today.
As we were entering Burnsville, MS we crossed the Tenn-Tom waterway and
saw a really nice park right on the waterway so we just had to stop.
We had a late lunch there, a nice walk and
even a little nap before getting back on the road. We stopped for the night at WalMart in
Jackson, TN.
$28, but included supper and groceries
We like to overnight at
WalMart when it is right on our route and we just need to get some sleep and
yes usually some groceries. We don't
feel the need to check into a campground and set up camp for just
overnight. It does save the campground
fees but WalMart always wins in that tradeoff. This time was less than most
- only $28.00. Not a really exciting day, but a very enjoyable one for us.
Tomorrow on to Saint Louis. Hope
everyone has a great weekend!
