Day 78: Still Williwaw

July 1, 2014

Well, today's breakfast was not nearly as exciting as yesterday's. It was a simple breakfast of oatmeal and fruit and evidently the bear was not attracted to oatmeal. To our knowledge he has not been seen in the campground today, so hopefully he has moved on to a more appropriate home.

After breakfast we went hiking and caching. We hiked the Williwaw Nature Trail and more of the Trail of Blue Ice. The only wildlife we saw was a flock of magpies and we didn't know magpies flocked. We suspected maybe there was a nest nearby because they were not happy with our intrusion. Boy, can they be loud! We counted 7 at one time and it sounded like others in the nearby trees.  It made us think of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

After hiking we worked on some future plans and took care of some financial business. When you are traveling for this long you have to take time to pay bills, balance the check book and those other mundane things you have to do when you are home. It is the first of the month so we worked on June financials and some business matters back in Alabama.
We spent the rest of the afternoon installing some 12 volt outlets in the bedroom so we can charge our cell phones close by at night when we are dry camping as we are now.

Another walk at 8:30 pm with the sun brightly shining and requiring sunglasses and we called it a day. Don't know for sure what we will get into tomorrow. We will let you know tomorrow.
